Video from 2017 – Why Was I (Correctly) CONSISTENTLY Bullish on Stock Indexes Since April/May of 2009 (Things Have Changed) – Give It Plenty of Room

For people with mediocre/terrible performance numbers –

DO NOT PICK/CALL TOPS.

Yes, I do “call” tops and I am correct way more than not, there are multiple recent examples of my calling tops in posts on the front page for you to judge my abilities – for instance my call at the end of 2021 – WAY AHEAD OF TIME – that we would see a big top in stocks in late JAN was spot on – from that post:

(I used it to sell my call options, but still believe we rally into year end, (and into January but very concerned about late January….).

But I was horrible at this skill for many years, and it cost me multiple multiple times.  So I decided NOT TO ATTEMPT TO CALL TOPS. And it was a huge step forward. I did teach myself how to become quite adept at this skill over time. The video is meant for teaching and for people wanting to learn a method. This video from many years ago is about (part of) my method for analyzing the technical structure of markets, it can be used on any time frame and for any stock, commodity, etc. It is universal, but there will be nuances between time frames and between instruments. It takes TIME to learn this business. My constant repetition of “give it plenty of room” is explained in the video. The saying is about context, and what goes into saying it – accum, the trend, springs, terminal shakeouts, secondary rallies, support points, etc. It is a way better way to view markets than the emotional perspective.

Trader Scott has been involved with markets for over twenty years. Initially he was an individual floor trader and member of the Midwest Stock Exchange, which then led to a much better opportunity at the Chicago Board Options Exchange. By his early 30’s, he had become very successful in markets, but a health situation caused him to back away from the grind of being a full time floor trader. During this time away from markets, Scott was completely focused on educating himself about true overall health and natural healing which remains a passion to this day. Scott returned to markets over fifteen years ago where he continues as an independent trader.
