One of the main themes encompassing The Entry Points is about working hard and taking control of our own finances, meaning self-reliance. And it’s just as empowering to take control over our own health, thus not relying on the dubious benefits surrounding the medical industry. One important component of that, obviously, is our food. And no matter your own viewpoint about what is the right diet for you, one thing is certain – it should be a “clean” diet. Collagen is powerful, vital, and essential (literally), yet it is a vastly under-appreciated component of the modern diet. This article is a good primer about collagen. But since collagen is most abundant in “the other stuff”, most people do not get nearly enough in their diets. One of the best and easiest ways to get collagen in our diets is by making homemade bone broth from humanely treated small farm domesticated animals. Or from wild sustainably fished seafood. The picture below is homemade fish head broth from Gulf of Mexico Wild Red Snapper. The mug had only been in the fridge for about an hour and it had become totally gelatin-like. Even upside down it’s totally solid, showing the tremendous collagen component, and imagine the nutrition.
