Weekend Dedication/Neocons

As well as being the voice of Shaggy in the Scooby – Doo cartoons, the great Casey Kasemhosted the American Top 40 radio show. On that show, he used to do “touching” dedications.I would like to continue that tradition. But instead of touching dedications, mine will be mocking dedications. The first mocking dedication,Don’t Fear the Reaper,was for the almost (at the time) 35 year bond bull market. And here is the dedication for the bond bull market’s 35th birthday.

The epic bond bull market started in 1981 when intra-day yields on the long bond hit 15.21%. And yes, I do believe that next decade those yields will be retested. I also believe this bond yield chart is the most important chart in the world.The global economy, and most everything on this planet rests on the “theory” that the central bankers can keep long bond yields at these low levels as long as they want. I have zero confidence in their “ability” to accomplish their goal. Supply will eventually overwhelm demand. It always does. I believe the biggest beneficiaries of the LIQUIDITY that will flow out of the global bond markets will initially be PMs and agriculture. (The markets which are further along in their respective ACCUMULATION areas.) And eventuallythe rest of the commodity complex and the global stock markets will also be huge beneficiaries.

But, gosh, how rude of me – back to today’s dedication. The distinguished George Walker Bush was the 43rd President of the United States of America. He was one of the greatest Presidents of all time. But yet to this day there are nasty allegations made about President George Walker Bush, accusing him of being a dumbass. That is untrue and I can prove it. He attended Yale University and also Harvard Business School. And we all know that EVERYONE who attends those esteemed halls of great learning is among the best and brightest of us all. I mean look at all the Ivy Leaguers in the Government and the Federal Reserve. And we all know what a magnificent job they have done of managing things. But the worst rumor of them all is that President Bush was not the one who truly called the shots in the White House. The allegation is the real President from 2001 – 2009 was actually Vice President Richard Bruce Cheney – I’m sure this allegation is also untrue. And, of course, Richard Bruce also attended the esteemed Yale University (briefly). Mr. Vice President has had many criticisms lobbed his way, such as an unfortunate hunting accident in 2006. And I can’t imagine there would have been any foul play with this incident, of course. Another criticism is in regards to his status as a war hawk. During the Vietnam era, Mr. Cheney received several draft deferments. Well, I’m sure, of course, he had completely honest and legitimate reasons for those deferments. But the worst criticism is that Vice President Cheney, and President Bush, are disgusting, heartless neocons. But, we all know the neocons were just concerned about the welfare of all American citizens. And further, if neocons were so bad, why would so many of them be supporting the compassionate humanitarian Hillary Rodham Clinton for President. So thanks to a suggestion from one of our great readers, I’d like to dedicate this song to Richard Cheney, George Bush (and Hillary Clinton while we’re at it).
